Question
Series 90?

I was looking at the manual for my Government Model, and right on the cover it says it's for Series 80 and Series 90 guns. I know what a Series 80 is, but what is a Series 90? This is the only time I've ever heard of it.

My 3" Colt Defender says "Series 90" on it. Frankly, I think it's something that Marketing came up with because it’s pure Series 80 inside!

Marketing, probably denotes the enhancements such as low mount sights and drop in beavertail grip safety, undercut trigger guard, and the series 80 firing pin safety system. But, I could be wrong, I think that has happened once or twice.

It could be the 1991 Series guns. Those are Series 80 on the inside and unfinished on the outside!
