My new SW1911PD(picts) .

Well I have been addicted to 1911’s this winter. I have been working on a low budget build and I have added a few couple of lower budget pistols to my collection. I have been doing a lot of research and fondling 1911’s at gun shows. I have been planning getting a higher end pistol to stick in my belt. Well today this is what I brought home. I have not been to the range with it yet. It is very lightweight, tight fitting, and well made. Had to share

Can't get the grin off my face!

Well I made it to the range last night and ran a couple hundred rounds through my new pistol. All I fired was WWB 230grain but, I had no problems. The gun is very accurate.

I was a little concerned that the laser was a waste of money. I thought that maybe I wanted the laser more as a toy than a tool. Well the laser is a neat way of targeting. It makes it obvious how steady you hold the pistol. It lets you know if you pull/flinch when you fire. I did adjust it, but ended up setting it back about the way it started. It is low however at 50 yards…LOL If you have not tried a laser before I would suggest that you try one. All in all, the laser is very cool.

I have some leather on order so soon I will be able to bring the S&W with me. I am looking into .45 caliber loads to see what I want to carry. I am a fan a Golden Sabers I will have to get some on order and see how the gun likes them.

I am very happy with my new purchase…very!!!

Nice pd

That's a very nice set up on the 1911 PD. I have an early 1911Sc that I'm partial to. If you sell that knife you can probably buy another 1911. I don't think they give blades like that one away.
Best Regards,
ADP3

Very nice!
The Crimson Trace grips are great! The laser will be set for 25 yards, so yes, you will be a little low at 50 yards.

Eleckster, very nice shooter. Good luck with it. What do you think of the laser grips? Also, how do you like your Sebenza?

Out.

Mike.

The laser is great. I recommend people try one out.

It looks like Gotti817 and ADP3 are into knives also. The Sebenza is a great knife, however I do not carry it very much. I am afraid of loosing a spendy knife. I almost always carry a Kershaw Leek.

Kind of cool how alot of us have similar interests. FWIW, my favorite light is the Inova T series and the sport utility is far from stock.
