    anyone used the strobel front sight tool?

    have any of you fine gentlemen used the strobel front sight tool before? any pointers you could provide would help greatly.

    Can't help you with your question but I do have one of my own if you don't mind.

    Is the purpose of the pin at the bottom of the clamp to stake the sight inside the slide?

    Just curious, I'm new to 1911's but a mechanic by trade so I'm always interested in how things go together.

    correct, to stake the tenon front sights.
