    Red face Llama Mini-Max 9mm 1911

I recently purchased a Llama Mini-Max 9mm 1911 style pistol. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to where I could find a few extra mags for it. Also, if one might know where I could find some new grips to fit it, I would be very appreciative.

Also, if anybody can fill me in at all as to the history of Llama and inform me as per their quality or lack thereof.

    Thanks!

I was wondering what you paid for it. I was looking at one at a show this weekend. He wants 395.00 for it and I don't know if that is a good price or not.

    MiniMax

I have the 45 ACP version. Colt Officers mags work in that.
So I'd check for 9mm versions of smaller 1911s. I think Kimber makes a 3" 1911 in 9mm. Pretty sure EMP mags will not work.
Take your pistol to a gun show and ask the vendors.

If you don't mind it sticking out an inch (plus a couple more rounds) you might try the regular 9mm Llama full-size mags.
I have a few of those if you want to try them.

As for grips, I've used this guy for several Llama grips.
    Nice grips, great price.

Well, I paid 330.00 for mine after tax and all. So unless it is brand new don't buy it for that much. I was actually looking around, after I bought mine, and they are really only a 300.00 pistol. A buddy of mine picked up a sweet little Micro-Max 1911 Llama in .32 auto. He got that for 170.00 out the door. I am getting my boss at elitecustomguns.com to brush chrome the slide and small parts, and Matte black Duracoat the frame. He is also going to reverse crown the barrel. I think it will look nice. As far as mags, I found some at noveltyguns.com for 27.95ea. + s/h. Thanks for the tip on the grips.

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure what a fair price was. I thought it was a little high but wanted to check. I stoped at Old Dominion Firearms in Danville and bought a CHIAPPA 1911-22 Can't wait to take to the range this weekend.
