Icon17 GI micro compact recoil spring/ Kimber assembly

Hi, I am new to this great forum. I have a GI micro and have read on this forum about the limited recoil spring and Guide issues with these pistols. I was looking at the recoil spring assembly for the 3 inch kimbers on their web sight and the assembly looks identical. Has anybody tried putting the kimber recoil spring assembly in the springfields. Thanks and what a great forum.

What recoil spring and guide "issues" does Springfield have? As far as I know, the Springfield recoil assembly is identical to that used by Kimber, Para USA, and several other brands.

Sorry, I guess what I meant was there seems to be few choices with the spring assembly. I was just wondering if the kimber parts would fit the springfields. Are the kimber and para spring assemblys the same poundage?

I have no idea. They are proprietary parts, and I have never seen a spring rating published for any of them, regardless of manufacture.
