Just looked on their website and it's only showing the .45 PT1911's, no 9mm yet.

Does anyone know why Taurus does not make a commander sized 1911? Has anyone heard of plans for one?

Typical Taurus marketing: "put it in the catalog years before you release it, if at all". I still want one, but I'm not holding my breath...

I'm seeing a few of the 9mm's around. Sure wish I knew someone that had tried one. I can't get a "hands own" review of their 1911's. For some reason NC has not warmed up to the Taurus 1911. My Texas friends love them.

Welcome to hear from anyone that has owned a Taurus 1911 and how it's doing after heavy usage.

    thanks
