    Air valve for Sig P229?

I purchased a Sig P229 airsoft pistol a few months ago and promptly trashed the air valve at the bottom of the magazine. Sig won't sell parts for its airsoft pistols/magazines - just the whole magazine for $60.00! I couldn't find a valve locally or on the internet. Can anyone help?

Bottom valves are available in general, for airsoft manufacturers like TM and WA, but they are finicky to work with, unlike other parts, like mag lips or release valves.

Sig 226s that I've seen are made by TM, not sure about your 229. I think all Tokio-Marui pistols should use the same fill valves for their mags.

Thanks for the info. I found a fix on the internet yesterday: wrap the valve threads and up over the o-ring with teflon tape, seat securely and no more leaks! Should work for many similar situations.

Yep, that makes a lot of sense. Some useful care & maintenance info I've read in Elite's website, strongly recommends that no attempts be made in tampering/dissassembing this valve in the first place.

As a fix, teflon tape or the 'liquid teflon' stuff used for permanent plumbing fixtures should work well, as long as you get it right first-time out!

This caught my attention because I just ordered a Sig229 copy made by KJW in Taiwan, marketed by Cybergun with licensed trademarks, so I wonder if that's what he has. I ordered it from Airsoft Atlanta, their site shows a mag for this gun at $25, but currently out of stock. $60 seems WAY too much, I believe most AS pistol mags are around $25 - $30.
