    Magazine compatibility

Magazines are proprietary to each conversion correct? I would kinda like to get the marvel 1 unit but the way the slide is configured is a bit different from the standard 1911 for me. I have thought about the marvel 2 unit but I have wondered if I could save a bit of cash on a cheaper unit.

    some are some arent.

Marvel uses the ACE mags for their wide body kit. not sure what they use for their single stack.. Jarvis uses the ACE mags also.
It is the very difficult horses that have the most to give you.

From what I've read on the Marvel site, the only mag difference between the widebody and the single-stack is the aluminum filler-blocks.

I have a Marvel Unit 1 - I never could get the steel Colt marked slides from Marvel functioning 100%.
It may have been my frame bed was too high. I got a mag release from EGW that holds the mags about .040" higher and now I use plastic mags from Advantage Arms. They've been flawless, load very easy - no loader needed and even though they're plastic they have been very durable. A few thousand rounds through 4 mags with no problems and no signs of wear.

I've also read where Ciener or Kimber or Wilson 22 mags work in the Marvel - I haven't tried any of those. It seems 22 conversions can be picky on what ammo or mags work.

How about Advantage Arms? very good customer service and I hear their 1911 conversion units are running very well.
