    First Colt Inbound

I finally took the plunge and ordered an XSE from Buds. Should be here soon.

Can't wait! My first Colt. I now own two Springfields.

Pix up when it gets here.

Cool. Congrats. Now the wait begins, at least it's a short wait.

Welcome to the "club" I think you will find you will not be able to own just one Colt. They like to have friends. There friends usually end up turning into herds . Did you go with the GVT or Commander XSE? The front serrations are a bit sharp I suggest a dehorn on those. The rest of the pistol I am sure you will love. The sights are great. Where in PA are ya?

I am in York. I know Kennett pretty well. My dad used to own Nottingham Canning. Mushrooms.

I ordered the Govt in blue finish.

Nice choice I have one in blue and SS I prefer the look of the blue. It is a modern looking 1911 and has great sights and a good trigger(if you get a good one) over all it is a great Colt. If you plan on carrying it take the edges off and you will be great. A nice upswept beaver might be nice to, not crazy about the duckbills but for some reason on this pistol it doesn't bother me like it does on my Commander XSE Good luck with your new Colt. If your in the area we can always put some lead downrange

Nice choice, Colt makes an excellent pistol and I feel sure you will be pleased with the XSE.
Don't forget pictures when you get her in hand.
