    In this part of the Southwest, we have a tradition of carrying fancy looking sidearms at BBQ events.

    This 38 Super has seen its share of events;

    New Year finds many of us at a ranch, last year we had about 80 attending. There are four ranges, shotgun, sidearm, rifle 200 yards and rifle one mile.

    Part of this tradition is teaching young ones the basics of shooting, starting with safety.

    This 125gr Gold Dot left the muzzle at 1436fps and expanded as expected.

    One of the handloading benefits is pushing uber velocities with chamber pressure <33,350psi. This Para has been used at critical situations, from rattlesnakes to large, hard charging feral dogs.

    This is my Para P-14 that I have carried for a few years.

    Caspian slide, Colt barrel, Wilson internals including a two piece guide rod all installed buy some unknown culprit. Thanky, Stranger!

    I've retired the one Para mag that came with her, choosing to run Mec Gars for the foreseeable future. They work well for me.
