Just spent half an hour using "search" and couldn't find the answer I'm looking for so:
I just detail stripped my SA Mil-Spec, early NM Ser. # and am replacing all springs with a Wolff "Service Pack". The Wolff site recommended the standard Colt .45 springs for the SA: Recoil - 16 lbs, Hammer/Main - 23 lbs. From what I've read here these are the correct springs, no? The new recoil spring has one end smaller than the other, unlike the original SA which has identical ends. Is it OK to use this and, if so, which end goes on the guide rod? Guide rod is the short type.
TIA for any/all answers, suggestions, guffaws, etc.
