Some of the Kimbers have light rails on them. Several of the custom guns like the Nighthawk's also offer them.
"The 1911 was the design, given by God to us through John M. Browning, that represents the epitome of what a killing tool needs to be. It was true in 1911 and it's true now." - Col. Robert Coates commanding, U.S. Marine Corp Special Operations Command Detachment 1 (DET 1)
I am talking about something with a FULL length rail.....goes all the way to the front of the slide like the springer operator.
like this..
is springfield the only one that made them?
I think SA is the only production pistol with a full length rail / dust cover - TRP operator pre 2007 and Operator loaded pre 2006 -Operator mil spec pre 2006
Also check les baer monolith models. Full dust cover.
"...He that hath no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one." - Jesus, Luke 22:36
Ah sorry for the confusion in terms USMCSki. When I think full length rail I think of a rail that runs from the front of the triggerguard to the end of the dustcover, even if the dustover is standard length. There is actually a short rail that I have seen that runs only about half the length of a standard dustcover.
I think Longslide is right, the Springer and the Les Baer are the only ones I know of that feature the long dustcover, and full length rail. You might also try STI or the SV Infinity but again these are higher end custom guns.
