    1911 blueprint specs

I have an Israel Arms 1911 Im using as a project gun to get my feet wet before trying an all out build. Is there any info out there as far as what stock dimensions should be ie frame and slide hole diameters ect. I would like to pull some measurements so I know where everything stands so I know if aftermarket 1911 parts will fit . im mainly concerd about there being too much slop or tolerance stacking. Althouggh the gun seems well built, extremely reliable and accurate. Thanks for any input.

High-quality scans of U.S. Army Ordnance Dept blueprints for all parts (except the left grip) are available free (in pdf format) online from www.cncgunsmithing.com/downloads.html. In the dropdown menu under "Blueprints", select "Complete Set of 1911-A1 Parts".
