    Avid 1911 Collector from here....

    Hello all,
I have been an avid collector of firearms for years, and have several 1911's, mostly Colts. While not exactly a fountain of knowledge on 1911's, I am more than a sprinkler too! I have Colt's from 1912, up to more "modern" 80 Series models. In between, I have Remington Rand, Para-Ordnance, and Springfield. All others are Colt.

I also have and like many other pistols and rifles, and even GLOCKS!

Thanks for allowing me to join!

    Welcome aboard, enjoy!
Too many people miss the silver lining because they're expecting gold.

Hi Barry and welcome to our 1911 forum from Northern Italy.

In the last 39 years I've owned so many different firearms, from bolt-action rifles that I still shoot at the range to high end "slabsides", from old Lugers to SIG-SAUERs.
Truth be told, as much as I love the heritage of the venerable "1911", the most iconic pistol of all times, to me nothing like how a "CZ Shadow 2" fits in your hand, while if you want one pistol to do it all the SIG-SAUER P226 is the Jack of all trades, it's a stellar gun that runs like clockwork, especially the older ones made in West Germany.
I was an avid collector of vintage firearms for years, until I realized that an ever-taller pile of unneeded guns made my life no happier, so not long ago I decided to prune my collection and enjoy more what I already owned.
After such a long time of guns-ownership and thousands of rounds of ammunition I have been reloading over the years I still love shooting at the range every single week.
JMO this is one of the best gun forums among the several I belong to, I hope you'll enjoy your time here.

    Life is good, shoot safe!
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
