    Question On Remington Rand Finish

Is it possible for a Remington Rand in the 980000 range to have a Parkerized rather than Du-Lite original finish? I am looking at buying one now that is Parked.

As I said also in the other 1911 forum, FWIK early REMRANDs like all the US&Ss were "Du-lite", REMRAND began "Parkerizing" at about s/n 995000, but some were still blued until 1015000, Type 2 slide ran to about s/n 1020000.
MSH checkered, slide stop levers were checkered most of the times.

I'm sure people more expert than me will soon chime in.

    Regards.
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
