John makes some valid points, but I view it differently. Photobucket's terms of service give THEM a right to use YOUR photos in any way they like as long as YOUR photos remain on their server. Do a search on any commonly-photographed subject (such as, for example, lighthouses) and you'll find near the top of your search results a link to Photobucket -- and to their users' photographs of lighthouses. That gives them exposure, and it brings them advertising revenue. Plus, how does leaving your photos on their server send them a message of disapproval? Answer: it doesn't.

Decide for yourself. My choice is to send them a message by deleting my account.
