    "Sticking Slide"

Have an Ed Brown Special Forces, roughly 8 to 9000 rounds through it. Sent it back to factory for cleaning, tuneup, etc over New Years. Have since put around 2 to 300 rounds through.. yesterday at range, when releasing the slide after reload (released it with hand holding slide, was not a hard release), slide jammed about 3/4 of the way back to stow.. about an inch or so of barrel sticking out... no round had been loaded, had a hard time getting magazine out, had to strike back of slide with hand to get it to go to end.. now, slide is very "tight" & feels very "gritty" as it is retracted. Removed recoi spring, reassembled.. same issue with no spring installed... Can't see anything obviously wrong.... Any suggestions?

Field strip the pistol and check for signs of binding on ejector and disconnector. The slide might be rubbing on the side of the ejector. What happens when you press down on the disconnector?

Since the OP has another post on this topic in the "Gunsmithing" discussion area, where it belongs, we'll close this one.
