    Welcome from another old geezer!

I rarely visit because reloading and shooting take so much of my time, but this morning I received an "update on the current discussions" email from John, the site owner, and flashed on the word "geezer" in your subject line.

Hang in there. Many people here know quite a lot (they've helped me immeasurably in past years) and are willing to share!

    Regards,
    Andrew

Hello from Europe, and welcome to our 1911 Forum. Glad you joined us.
I'm by no means an expert by any stretch, but in the last 36/37 years I managed to acquire some experience with many handguns so now I'd be glad to share what I've learned.
This is one of my favourite gun forums among the several I belong to; I'm sure you'll like it too.

    Regards.
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.
