RO Compact Mag Well Question???? Need a bit of help before I buy

I recently picked up a RO Compact in .45 and really like this feature packed pistol. Part of my decision in choosing this one is that it has a bit more barrel while still giving my the compact size frame to match my Wife's Officers Lightweight Colt.
With my hand being a bit larger than her's, I am thinking of adding a magazine well to get just a hair more purchase on my pistol. Does anyone know if this will allow a smooth use of standard sized mags. I've searched all over but can't find any references or pictures of a compact frame with mag well and a standard 1911 full size mag.
If anyone has a picture of their gun set up this way, I'd love to see it.
    Thanks,
    Doc

A full-size magazine is 1/2-inch longer than an Officers-size magazine. The typical add-on mag wells are 1/4" to 3/8" thick/deep, so a standard, full-size magazine will probably stick out beyond the mag well. Officers mags with bumpers would be about right.

There are magazines made with insertion stops to let you use a GM length tube in a short butt gun. It won't look pretty, but it will give you an extra shot.

Yes, and there are aftermarket adapters that fit over Government-length magazines for use in Officers-size pistols. No matter how you try to do it, the full-size magazine will extend at least a half inch below the end of an Officers-size grip frame, so if the add-on mag well isn't one-half inch deep (and most of them aren't close to that), the magaZine will protrude.
