    Hello from Michigan.

Hey everyone. I'm glad I found this site! I found you guys by searching 1911 feeding issues (imagine that)..... After reading some of the posts, seems like some of you know these things pretty well. I hope to glean some knowledge from you all, and maybe, sometime soon, build my own 1911 from scratch!

Welcome. My wife's a yuper, and I've spent some time in Michigan. Nice place . . .in the Summer!
I've had probably two dozen 1911s over the years, and never a feeding issue, but extraction?

Thanks Rick. I actually just picked up a RIA 10mm doublestack, and it's having feeding issues right out of the box unfortunately. I think I've narrowed it down to the mag being defective. The follower moves all over the place, seems like it's binding up, and it tilts, it clicks and pings. But this only happens with the last 3 rounds. Very difficult to load the first few rounds.

Hello and welcome to our 1911 Forum. Glad you joined us!
Originality can't be restored, so put "originality" at the top of a priority list. If JMB didn't put it on the 1911 you don't need it.

    Welcome aboard!
