    Rock Island Milestone !

Hello everyone,Austin T here for a little while longer,
It has been 11 years since my last post on this awesome forum. So as a Christmas present to myself, I have decided to post a picture of my very first RIA M1911 full size in 45 caliber, that was purchased in November of 2005. It has had some sight and grip panel upgrades since first purchased. But 3 barrel links, numerous 16 lb recoil springs and as of today at least 30,000 rounds of various FMJ and JHP ammunition has been consumed by this little "Buzz Saw" and she is still going strong and purring like a kitten.

Nice gun. I had a Charles Daly (another Armscorp brand) that had over 10K rounds when I decided to sell it (I shouldn't have: I was consolidating, had a S&W 1911SC, decided I didn't "need" 2 1911s, and since the Commander sized alloy 1911SC was my carry gun at the time, my CD left me). I miss that gun.

Anyway, I've bought my first RIA (actually, it is on layaway until next month after summer school, and summer school paychecks, begin). It is a RIA Rock Standard CS. It will be my first 3-3.5" 1911, and assuming it is reliable (I know that can be an issue with any 3-3.5" 1911) it will be one of my carry guns. I can't wait to see how mine performs.
