    Utc?

I am finally in all the years of being a member here lurking able to buy my first quality 1911. I have contacted you know who. I will still have to borrow the money and make payments but it willn't take food off the table. It's just now or never.
The UTC with no forward serrations seems to fit the bill. I think I have plenty of 45 ammo for now to do the break in process.
Please all UTC or Baer owners come forward and tell me your thoughts.

I have on with the 1.5 inch. It's a tack driver. 100% reliable.

I'm pretty sure it's the same gun as the TRS without the name. I have a TRS and it's a great 1911. Just don't let the gun run dry, keep it lubed and shoot it. I agree with ditching the front serrations.
    Best wishes.

Thanks for y'alls input. I'm pretty darn sure your correct Joni. I plan on carrying it as my off work pistol. I will have to put some rounds down range first to become familiar with it before stacking my families life on it.

Congrats! I own a UTC and they are great carry guns, if only a bit tight and subsequently more of a chore to take down for cleaning. Be sure and follow the "break in" instructions, for best reliability. The only things I felt needed changing on my UTC were the sights (I installed a set of Trijicon HDs for better visibility), the magazines (I really like Wilson Combat mags), and a set of "Dorado Cocobolo wood" grips by Esmeralda. If you're going to invest that kind of money in a nice 1911, you may as well dress her up a bit!

    Congrats on your first Baer!

Shoot it a while before you start changing parts, until you know what YOU want to change.

I changed the stocks on mine because I prefer beveled bottoms unless I'm using a magwell, and replaced the ambi thumb safety because they have a tendency to get knocked off safe when I carry them.

All the important stuff is still as it was built.

Also; they look good after they've been carried and shot a bit:

I had a UTC in 45 and I regret selling it very much. I have a new one coming in 9mm tomorrow. Can't wait.

I just purchased a UTC with no front serrations. Ready to get it in and start breaking it in.
