Well I have to admit I have about given up. I periodically do a search on Gun watcher or Slick guns and get no results. Now if I put in Browning 1911 380 I get quite a few returns. But I didn't want to pay $600 for a 380. 1911 or not.

You can order a Baby Rock from Cabela's. They are going for $419.00. The Browning is an aluminium frame. The RIA Baby Rock is all steel.
Google Armscor Baby Rock 1911. I talked to Armscor yesterday and they are filling orders as fast as they can.

Unless something has changed, I believe the Browning has a polymer frame.

Thanks, I have a friend who has one on order from Cabelas. 6 months so far waiting. But it is an option and maybe the way I have to go. What usually happens to me though is when it does finally show up is when my cash is depleted.

My understanding is its polymer/composite frame. Not totally opposed to that. It also has an ambidextrous safety (good for lefties).
