Where else can you get Dan Wesson quality for under $800 in a GI style pistol. I don't really think of them as much as USGI style though, as they seem more like they are fashioned after a 1930s era commercial 1911. Either way, they are a steal given the quality of the pistol. My LGS has two in stock and they've been sitting in their case for months. I'm really tempted to grab one as a basis for a project gun. All it really needs is a grip safety, thumb safety, MSH, possibly a trigger and sights to make a great carry 1911. When I run the numbers for a project gun using the CZ as a starting point, it comes up much better than starting off with a Springer or other similarly priced 1911.
