This is going on in a lot of states now, and it won't get no better.

I attempt to avoid that state when I travel. This is going on in other places as well and I fear we will hear about much more of this.

Joni, I fear you are correct. Education is probably our best bet. I had the opportunity to take a couple who are friends of my son to the range this past week-end. This young lady was terrified of guns due to a lack of knowledge. She shot a 38SPL revolver and my Bill Wilson Carry 45ACP.
She absolutely had a wonderful time, and admitted that guns were one of her greatest fears. I do not think she will go out and buy a gun but at least when she speaks of guns ,what she says will come with some knowledge.

Scary stuff. If they can track license plates like that, I would not be surprised that they can/are tracking some type of indicator off your smart phone as it hits towers. Not a lawyer, but, I don't see that they have probable cause to stop a vehicle without some form of vehicle violation or outstanding warrant for the driver/owner matching up to the vehicle owner on file (from the searching the database for the license plate number from the Automatic license Plate reader). The first time the police do an actual bust/citation, it would be a good test case for the NRA to pursue.

I went to Jersey back in the summer and called the NJ state police to see what all I needed to do to bring a fire arm with me. What I didn't do was check with Maryland state police which I had to go through both ways. Sitting here thinking that could have been me pulled over and abused. The world is in a bad way when people trying to do right are treated like the outlaws. Makes you wonder if CCW permit is really worth all the problems it can bring with it.

Thais was my first thought also. I am one of the most non-litigious people on the planet, however if this is true and it happened to me I may not wait for the NRA.

First of all I have the feeling that CCW's are in some ways at odds with the Constitution. Having said that, I am a great believer in States Rights. If Maryland choses this path, then I am just as free to avoid Maryland in all ways possible.
