    Display Options broken?

In my user profile, under "General Settings," there is a section for "Postbit Style." The two options here are "Classic" and "Modern." Supposedly, "Modern" puts the user information across the top of individual posts, and "Classic" aggregates the user information in a box to the left of the posts. All the other vBulletin forums in which I participate are set up with the user info to the left, so I have selected "Classic" as my postbit style.

It doesn't work. User info is still displayed in a top band that extends the full width of each post.

This option doesn't seem to change anything for me, either... but I've gotten used to having the information across the top, so I didn't notice it until I tried it just now.

I can't seem to view photos. I click on the link, and it states I don't have authorization.

I haven't activated the Classic template view, since that means that I have to modify another template for whatever changes I've done in the Modern one. If you feel like using the Classic template, give me some time to set it up.

Steve, you say you can't view photos but you do not tell us where. I need more info before tackling this, so please elaborate.

For those who want to use the Postbit Legacy style (i.e. with the user info on the left side of the post, instead of the top of the post) here is how to do it.

Scroll all the way down in any page in this site. Find the blue line, which has a drop-down menu on its left side and "Contact Us, The M1911 Pistols Organization, Admin, Mod, etc" on the right side. Use the drop-down menu on the left, to select the style named "Legacy_Postbit Style". That's it, from now on, you will be using the old, legacy postbit style. If you want to go back to the horizontal, modern postbit style, use the same menu and select "vB4 Default Style".

    I hope you like it.

Next time I come across a post with a photo link in it, I'll direct you to it.

I switched to the "legacy post bit", much better. Not as busy looking. Easier reading for me anyway.
