    Very cool story Scott, but that Savage is an ugly pistol as compared to the Colt 1911.

    I read this post at the beginning and it caught my interest. I read a lot and decided that if a .45 cal wasn't likely to come my way, I'd look for it's little cousin in .32. I saw some 1907's in ratty shape for a surprising amount of money, but wanted a nice one. Well,,, I finally came across one in really nice condition at my LGS of all places. I should be picking it up within a week or two, (car repairs came first!). They are so odd looking that they grow on you.
