I had a couple of flyers, but, when I got serious, it really drove some tacks.

I've now put about 250 flawless rounds through my Clapp. It has been a real joy to shoot. The picture above was at 21' and as I stated, I had some flyers. It was so fun to shoot I had to do some rapid shooting. But when I slow it down and concentrate, it becomes apparent how accurate this wonderful colt is. Not one FTF, FTE.
Very cool.
I met Wiley Clapp at SHOT when the Commander was introduced.
Awesome pistol and awesome man, I got his autograph that day.
I just met him at the NRA convention in Houston. He seemed very nice. I talked to him for about 5 min. I'm pretty sure he will champion a 9mm 1911 very soon. That's what he wanted to talk to me about.Originally Posted by Hunter

Tell me more, tell me more. A 9mm Commander perhaps?!?! I need to write to Wiley.
There's already a Govt.-length 1991 9mm TALO special out there... so who knows?

He kept asking me what I would like to see next. Me, being new to the 1911 world, didn't understand what he was asking. He finally spelled it out for me, and asked, "what would you think of a 9mm in this platform"? I can only infer, from this line of questioning, that a Wiley Clapp 9mm is on the way, or is being researched.
"In this platform" meaning, Commander-length, to keep our host happy?

He didn't specify... Sorry John...
