    Taurus 1911 9mm trigger pull

My goodness! It feels stiff as a rock! This trigger has to go. Is the mainspring too heavy? This trigger pull is ridiculous. My rock island had a way smoother trigger pull! What gives? This trigger pull has to be at least 7 pounds! This is the worst trigger pull I've ever felt on a 1911. Any good remedies?
