I have to ask. Will your gun slingshot?
No, but it CAN be fixed, it's just that LBC won't do the work and according to their design parameters it isn't intended to. The fix amounts to recutting or deepening the slotted area under the barrel. If you haven't figured it out yet, Les & Co. build outstand 1911, easily at the top of the pile but at the same time Les is a bit set in his ways and is fairly certain that he's right. I still really like him but there are places I won't try to go during conversations.
I started a post on this regarding my gun. I'm not mad at LBC nor will this stop me from buying another LBC but I won't buy another Commanche length (4.25) gun. I can have Cylinder & Slide build anything I want and I know exactly what it will do and how it will perform. BTW, you can too; just call Bill & the C&S team. Yup a cheap plug for one of the great shops.
This is my third Stinger and I also have a SRP Commanche and knowledge of the identical, consecutive serial number SRP to mine. All but the Super 38 will slingshot.
But a bit of perspective is necessary, the Stinger is now my daily carry gun. I am confident in how it performs and that it will when called upon. I like the size and am quite comfortable with the caliber.

Thought I'd add a few more photos.
I really like the Stinger, right now it is my favorite carry gun. Carried a C&S Adventurer for many years, it is light and small but nasty to shoot. Also carried a Combat Commander bobtail, liked that one too but the shorter grip frame of the Stinger is easier to carry.
Changed to a Wilson checkered mainspring housing, this was not a drop-in but should have been and added the Ahrends Tactical Grips - favorites of mine.
I still need to do a bit more work on the Stinger. Smoothing edges to take the bite out of them, and then rounding the bottom of the grips and the heel of the mainspring housing. I'll also switch to Brown ambi-safeties as I like the profile and feel of these better than the Baers.
Seems that many have viewed this post, hope all enjoy these photos as well.

My favorite training holster, about 1997 vintage Galco Gunsite. Well used and abused.
My Baer Commanche is, probabally, the best 1911 Pattern that I have ever owned.
It didn't start out that way.
Mr Baer, in his Infinite Wisdon, declared that any pistol that passed his was personal test firing QC Standards could not , in no way, be less than perfect.
A couple of gents at ACW did a bit of machining that'd allow full slide travel. Now my ACW Commanche runs like a sewing machine.
Marginal 'slingshot' ability isn't a problem. It is a symptom. The 'problem' if there is one, is lack of slide travel. That little problem Mr. Baer refuses to address and justifies that functional quirk as a Baer design advantage.
He might also proclaim that Tripe is a Porterhouse.
