    Springfield Armory Store

As you may or may not know, Springfield Armory Store had their

magazines on sale this past week. I ordered 2 XD9 magazines.

Springfield Armory Store refused to sell them to me, they said my

name did not match the mailing address associated with my card.

The bank I use said this was bunk. I am very disappointed in my

very first attempt to do business with Springfield Armory!

My response is in NO WAY intending to suggest that I think you have attempted to commit FRAUD.

Companies who do business over the internet or by phone MUST take every precaution to insure against fraud. If you have recently moved, and have not updated all of your accounts to include that new address, then problems of this nature can occur. Once this has been done, I'm sure you'll probably have no further issues.

The address you provided to Springfield Armory does not match the address in the credit card issuer's system. Some merchants match addresses some do not.

I have had exactly the same issue, a long time ago: a transaction refused due to a mismatch in my address/location information. It was a long time ago so I don't remember many details, it may have involved using my card abroad... but it wouldn't surprise me if some overzealous bank employee applied the same logic on such transactions between different States.

Try ordering something from Ebay and paying with Paypal. They won't ship to any other address than the one entered in your Paypal account.

That's the way things work these days.

Common practice today. For PayPal & cc.
Even worse if they are not able to check an international credit card.
Some merchants started to ask me for a wire transfer.
    Go figure...

    No to wire transfer.

Wire transfer is the safest method, but it costs a lot of money.

And this is the key question. Mostly you don't know the seller.
With PayPal and cc you have a buyer protection.
