Today, The M1911 Pistols Organization (or M1911.ORG for short) maintains three sites :

• The M-1911 Pistols Organization Home Page
  M1911.ORG Home Page is an encyclopedia-like site, with everything you ever wanted to know about the M1911 pistol, its clones and variances, its history, its operating principles, the various models offered in the market, the accessories made for it, etc. etc.

• The M-1911 Pistols Organization Forums Site
  M1911.ORG has its own Forums Site located at http://forum.m1911.org (May 31st, 2004). This is where you are now. This is an area used to exchange ideas about your favorite firearm, with other M1911 afficionados.

• The M-1911 Pistols Organization E-zine
  Our electronic magazine, in which we publish tests and reviews of M1911s and M1911-related goods, press releases from the industry, news of interest to the M1911 shooter etc.. If you want to read how our editors liked the latest M1911 models in the market, this is the place to go. We publish reviews of M1911 pistols long before they appear in any other publication.

All sites, are obviously serving the same purpose, to provide information about the M1911. They differ in the way information is handled in each one of them. The first one, is an encyclopedia-style reference, static in nature (although the site is regularly updated), while the second is an interactive resource, you ask for the information and you get it. Our E-zine is again an informational site, where M1911.ORG staff tests and reviews new M1911-related products and reports about them to you, our visitors. In that sense, the sites are complimentary to each other, covering every potential visitor's need. The M1911 Pistols Home Page also includes a mailing list, through which members can discuss their favorite pistol, for those who do not favor discussion forums.
