I recently purchased a Umarex Walther P-99 fixed slide 6mm airsoft pistol, mostly because I've always liked the looks of the P-99.

I really like this offering. It's probably the best airsoft pistol I've ever owned, and I've had several.

While made in Japan by Marushin, the pistol is designed for easily obtained green gas, not the less poweful and difficult to find hfc-134 used by most domestic market Japanese airsoft guns. Since the fixed slide does not use gas for blow back, you can figure...

I wanted to add some more Colts to my airsoft display shelf, but unfortunately no airsoft manufacturer makes them. That didn't stop me, of course, and here are the results of some mixing and matching.

The CZ-75 had reached a well-deserved fame during the years it was not widely available in the US. Even Col. Cooper liked the pistol, so it was a very popular pistol. The airsoft version lives up to the real gun fame? Read on to find out.

The Browning Hi Power is a pistol I always liked, but never owned. If I lived in a country with more realistic gun laws, I would have one in my safe, customized by either Bill Laughridge or Wayne Novak. Since I do not see me immigrating to US any time soon, the airsoft version was a natural candidate for a review.

Three Western Arms pistols used to finalize an older project and create three new pistols. Airsoft customizing? Something like that.

During our Airsoft Project, we have tested several 1911 pistols. Some were amazing performers, but none (except maybe the Wilson Combat FBI Trial pistol) was as beautiful as this one.

It's well known that I like Commanders, the 4.25" versions of the M1911. This one is no exception, since it handles nicely and balances fine in my hand.

I just couldn't resist ordering this Nighthawk Vickers Tactical, since it is most probably the only way I'll ever be able to own one. Read about it and how I liked it.

The Tokyo Marui 1911A1 is fast becoming the preferred base for customization work, since it has a decent blowback mechanism and it is relatively cheap. In this review, I tried my skills at building a Colt Delta Elite, from a TM pistol and a Pro-Win kit. Read about this expereience.

This is the first time I tried out an Automatic Electric Gun (AEG) and believe me, it's cool. It's fun! And this one mimics the Colt M4A1, it even says so on the side.

The Wilson SDS pistol we tested some years ago, was the only small 1911 in my airsoft collection, but that one had an Officers frame matted on a 4" slide. When I first saw this traditional-looking Officers, I knew I had to have it. Was it worth it? Read on!

It's a well-known fact that I like Commanders. Unfortunately, my airsoft collection didn't include one, I never liked the old WA pistol we tested here two years ago. And since no one is making a decent Commander-size pistol, I decided to give the Gunsite a try, and see if I would like it.

The Tokyo Marui 1911A1 was introduced to the airsoft market about one year ago. I had heard good things about it, and since it imitates a USGI pistol I'll never be able to acquire, I decided to add it to my airsoft collection. Do I like it? Read on!

Two years ago, we tried the Tanaka Smith and Wesson Model 19 in a 2.5" version and didn't get impressed. I wanted to see if this 3" revolver was an improvement over the old one.

It looks as if USMC loves the 1911. Their detachment to the Special Operations Command had an urgent demand for a special 1911 pistol, to cover the units needs. Kimber got the contract and the DET-1 pistol is what the Marines got. Here, we test the Airsoft version of that pistol and we like it, even thought there were some problems.

The MEU(SOC) pistol, in this edition, is the late version, based on new Springfield frames and slides. We put it through its paces and it came out with flying colors.

My first real pistol was a Sig Sauer P-226, so when I first saw the Tokyo Marui airsoft pistol, I just got to have it, if only to remind me of those days. I tried and liked it and I am sure it is a very viable first Gas Blowback pistol for starting Airsoft.
