A friend on mine who works in a local gun shop told me they took in as trade a L/N 5" blue Nork. He wasn't sure what the price was going to be but "It will be less than the taxes you paid on the re-work." Anyway, my name goes on the pistol and my $20.00 goes to hole it for me. Whhile it isn't a big of find as the Augusta Arsenal rework I got from them, it is still a nice thing to have.

Everything comes to he who waits...congrats Jim. You gotta find a Commander size now and a Nork in 9MM. As an aside were the Norinco 1911's in 9MM ever imported into the U.S.?

Robert, I don't think so. At least I have not goten reports of them in my quest for information. I'm still looking for a "C" model and a nickled 5".
They will appear sooner or later.

Well I wish you well in your quest. I am not sure we ever saw nickle Norks up here. I keep watching for one. I guess I could get a Norinco nickled, thought about it but have two maybe three other guns before I go that route.
