I am coming back to shooting a 1911 after 28 years. My friends tried to pry my hands of a 1911 with stories about their Glocks and XD's. I shot some of them and I have happily come back to the familiar 1911. They day I sold my Colt 1911 Goverment model with $1000 work on it 1984 I could only get $400 for it. I grew up in the Philippines and I am familiar with the Squibman company (predecessor or AMSCOR) where we used to get our CO2 pellet rifles during Martial Law. So I have purchased a RIA compact A1 and I also have an STI Spartan (still has some Pinoy blood in it) 9mm to shoot with and just to make sure I have my skills honed with constant shooting I also got a Ruger 22/45 to plink with. Back in the 80's I relied on my local gun store for advice. Now I have the internet to talk to people form allove the world.
