Howdy folks. I'm just a humble fellow hailing from New Jersey. Grew up hunting with shotguns and a bow mostly, recently started looking into buying a pistol, and have settled on something in a 1911. Haven't picked anything up yet, paperwork in my neck of the woods is a serious chore, but when I finally get my hands on my own piece of Mr. Browning's handy work, I'll let you all know. Been enjoying the wealth of knowledge and experience here on these boards.

Glad to have you on board and you have come to the right place for knowledge on the 1911. Just remember, you cannot go wrong with a Colt, for it was the original based on JB's drawings. :eb:
