New gun itch

I've got an itch to buy another 1911. Ive owned a series 80 colt,but let it go[always regretted that].Currently have a Kimber custom II .A nice gun and their customer service is good.So let's here it guys,are any of the so called factory target guns worth it or should I send the kimber in and blow a wad turning it into a one inch at 25 yard shooter?

Kimber makes a gun guaranteed to shoot that accurate. Most Kimber's made are way more accurate than the shooter is capable of doing. Probably holds true for most top quality handguns. Those groups you read about are mostly shot from a Ransom rest anyway.

I would look into the Colt Gold Cup Trophy. I have been well pleased with mine.

I own a Kimber Gold Match, it is the first gun that I ever bought. The only thing that I'm going to do to it is checker the front strap, and add an arched mainspring with a magwell. It more than meats your requirements of accuracy since I can shoot tight and one hole groups all day. I got mine on sale about 4 or 5 years ago for $1019 with tax everything out the door. I don't regret the purchase at all, only thing I had to do is have the extractor adjusted. The Team Match should be more accurate however it will cost more and any accuracy difference wouldn't be that big at least in my opinion.

Really Happy with my Team Match II - 45acp. it shoots better than me.
