Hi all, new here and to the 1911 world. Purchased a Remington R1 1911
late last week and can't wait to try her out. Always loved the 1911 and have wanted one my entire shooting life. So now I have one and if goes well will certainly not be my last!!

Congratulations on your first 1911! Are you anywhere near Findlay? Still have a warm spot for that corner of the world. Spent most of my life there before the age of 21 and then moved to Texas with my job. Been here ever since but still root for Ohio State and the Browns. (I find that rooting for the Browns does not seem to offend my Cowboy buddies.) Welcome to the Forum.

Well thanks for the greetings... I am up near Toledo area but know the area you speak of pretty well... and I understand the browns thing and cheer for them if you can call it that, but also a lions fan being from michigan back in the day, either way hard to offend to many with my team selections.. lol
