Hey fella's. I'm new to this portion of the site. I've been hanging out in the Springfield forum and a little bit in the Kimber section because I thought those were the 2 best options for the 1911. I've had a few pistols over the years but never a 1911. I do however have a few friends with some and my father has a Norinco. I've recieved advice from the springfield crowd but what does the Norinco crowd say?
Thanks in advance!

Any Norinco will be harder to find than any Kimber or Springfield since they can not be imported any more.
Norincos are built out of better steel than they really need to be; their finish is on a part with many of the US WWII military pistols, some a little rougher and some a little smoother; they are made from forgings with no cast or MIM parts; they seem to feed about anything that will fit in a magazine and their extractors are made of spring steel and correctly heat treated.
I have three and all have done wht 1911s are supposed to do; feed, fire and eject. I changed out the main spring and firing pin spring on one of my three but I really did not have to.
What else?

I have one 1911 .45 ACP Nork and I'm very happy and proud to own one. It performs more than what I expected. Thanks
