Very Nice Pistol

Found a SR1911 yesterday at my LGS, priced right (about 650), so I bought it. Just got back from the range and wow, very nice pistol. Not a single malfunction, shoots factory and reloads great. Shoots point of aim at about 7yds. Ran about 100 rounds thru it.
Ruger has a winner if all are as good as this one.

Based on my sample set of Ruger pistols (yours and mine), they do! I have had mine a week, and it has run 400 rounds flawlessly. This includes hollow points (Winchester Rangers), and factory FMJ from Federal.

I like cleaning it too. There's something about cleaning a stainless pistol that is gratifying.

Mine also shoots very accurately. (Unless I mess it up of course!)

Good to know. I have customers asking about it, and nothing to tell them. At least now I can give 'em 3rd party info. Nice to see things that are American made running like champs. We've always had the ability to build good stuff. I like to see American companies proving that we haven't lost the desire to do it.

Vance outdoors has them. I ordered mine from there. They want $699, but I literally couldn't find one in all of Texas so I paid a little more.
I still think it's a bargain at $699, I just know some have paid less on here.

Congrats on you new sr1911. I just picked up one today as well from a local shop. I went in looking for a Stainless springfield 1911 mil-spec and they had the Ruger. After checking it out I was impressed and the price was right $630. I can't wait to get out to the range and run some ammo through it.

Hey Daryl, where did you find it? I have yet to see one.
Burdetts in College Sta. had it. They received 4, two were sold before they arrived and I didn't ask if this was the last one.
Are you close by? I am just retired and have a LOT of time on my hands. If you are, you are welcome to check it out.
