Howdy Folks,
I have a chance to buy a 1950's vintage alloy framed Colt Commander (.45ACP) at a sensible price. The pistol has almost NO original finish left and has a greenish patina in places.
It would appear (to me :p ) to be a prime candidate for a nickel finish, pearl grips and maybe even a bit of scroll engraving, to whom would the esteemed members suggest I send the gun for plating? and what style of replacement sights go best with this finish?
