just got my SR1911 from Cabela's. Had to special order, but they got it in after 2 weeks.

absolutely beautiful piece.

well, took the new SR1911 out to the range for the first time today. excellent performance! 150 rounds with no issues!

Congrats on getting your SR1911 and glad to hear you had no problems on your first outing. (That can be a downer.) Definitely think you are going to like it. I was able to find one about a month ago in Houston and it has become my primary carry even though that wasn't my intention for it. I have about 300 hundred rounds through mine with no problems and it shoots like a dream.
