It has arrived (SR1911)

I picked up my SR1911 today and while the weather is too bad to shoot tonight, so far I am impressed. I stripped and cleaned and lubed it for a shooting session in the AM. The pistol in fit and finish quality, seems to be a step above my Springfield SS GI that has been customized with lots of ED Brown parts and Trijicon sights. It seems to be a close second to my TRP. I would put it dead even with my STI Lawman. The test will be shooting it in the morning. I will come back with a full range report.

Where did you find this, my guy has a request at three distributors, and we have heard nothing. He is a smaller shop and I understand the theory that the higher volume stores get their stuff first. I have been watching gunbroken and even the number of Ruger SR1911 is down there. What gives?

I think patience is the key here. It takes a little time to get new products out everywhere. IMO this is going to be a popular one and the supply will increase over the next month or so.
