I just received my new alumagrips with my own design for the etching. The look and feel awesome. I will have to report again once I have fired the weaopon with these babies on. Anyway, here are a few pics:

If nothing else, it sure enhances the overall look. Now have to save to send the gun to Tripp for Hard Chrome and Kobra coating!

Hard chrome on a nice stainless pistol? Why?
Looks very nice with these grips, I like it.

Because the corrosion resistance of the hard chrome on top of the stainless is stronger. Virtually no chance for pitting or any signs of decay.
Thanks for the comments. The grips came out even better than I thought they might.

Wow! I thought there would be more response to these awesome grips. I showed some folks I work with in the ER and they are harassing me about having my medical symbol on a "deadly" device.
I look at it as sort of a bit of advocacy. Just because I save lives does not make me a namby-pamby who will not defend the lives of my family as well as my own.
I thought it made a pretty positive statement.
Comments?

Comments?
Comments? There is nothing to comment about stupid people. Saving one's life as a doctor or paramedic is one thing, protecting your own life and those of your family, is another. Can't accuse someone for lack of brain cells, can you?

Actually, I'd like to disagree. Protecting your own life, or those of your family, IS saving a life. One is merely preventative medicine. ;)

I agree whole heartedly. I just freak when people comment to the fact that I am a medical pactitioner..."How could you be a gun advocate?"
Blows my mind. But it does open a whole new world of teaching from my part. I have sucessfully educated a number of folks as to the reasoning behind the second amendment. There are those who will be convinced and those who will ride the fence and then again, those who will oppose especially handguns as personal protection. I chalk those folks up to the blind being led by the blind.
They refuse to believe the printed out facts that where handguns are permitted to be carried, crime actually goes down. I just don't get those who think that by outlawing guns from law abiding citizens it will prevent the criminals from carrying. This is where that BLINDNESS sets in.
