I have been looking for some cheaper parts to finish putting together some 1911 parts I have had lying around for several years and was looking at www.gunclips.net, they list some pretty good prices but can't seem to get through to them, they say if you get this recording we are away from the phone, etc. etc. and to e-mail them. I have sent two e-mails and they haven't returned them in a few days. The address Googles (Google Earth) as residence. Has anyone had any dealings with them?

Hello,

I have no experience with those folks but their 45 parts quality look similar to SARCO Inc. which appear to be less expensive.

I think it's hard to take them serious when their website address is one of the biggest fox paws (I just love saying it like that!) (faux pas) in the gun industry...

The address Googles (Google Earth) as residence........These sorts of "clues" would be enough for me to decide to simply look elsewhere.

I've always been happy dealing with Brownells. They may not necessarily have the best prices, but they are solid, reliable and they know what they are doing. One can do business with them with confidence.

I know some folks have done considerable business with SARCO.

Sarco was second on my list so I went with them after the 'other guys' didn't return my e-mails or calls.
