I just picked out my "christmas present" a shiny new HP practical in 9mm. It will be my first BHP and has been long time coming!

I've read various articles warning against using +P/+P+ ammo in a factory HP to avoid breakage. Of course I've also seen articles discussing using the higher pressure ammo with no mention of potential problems. What is the bottom line here? I plan on using standard ammo for most my shooting but will want to use the higher pressure rounds for some purposes. What can you all tell me about the risks I will be taking?

Thank you, those documents covered my questions very well. I believe I will look into the stonger recoil spring.
