Following to the above, here is an article I spotted in one of the photography sites I visit regularly:

From what I understand, Mr. Neel is blaming guns for this massacre. And while he has posted his article in the above site, which suggests we can voice our opinion by commenting in the articles, Mr. Neel has disabled comments in his article.
So based on his thinking, guns should be banned (at least that's what I understood from his article, I wish I could verify that but I can't since comments are not allowed). If we extrapolate his thinking though, so should cars, since more people are killed in car accidents every year, than in shooting incidents.
Needless to say, Pixiq has been removed from my Photography Sites bookmarks.

My most sincere condolences to the victims of that nutjob. Doctors kill more than guns do here but we still haven't tried to ban them.

John........I have just read what Mr. Neel wrote.........It sounds like he needs to be added to the watch list.............Just imagine the scene of him watching the pouring of gasoline into the swamp in Tampa in order to burn the criminals out............What a nut job..........His blog sounds about like the writings of the shooter in yesterdays tragedy.............Tom

Its a Mr. Neel gets the final word article. I find these cowardly and very unprofessional. It all comes down to the choices a person makes, not the gun did it arguement.
The law in my state does not allow texting while driving, yet people make the choice to do it. I was almost run off the road by a lady texting in a Suburban. I had my 3 year old in the back seat. This happens alot, and I am sure many are hurt or killed by these actions. Even though there is a law, people still make the "Choice" to do so. Its the people, not the instrument in hand.

Arizona is one of the most lowest scoring states for mental health treatment. This is a prime example of one young man that has been disenfranchised and outcasted which in turn manifests sociopathic behavior that goes unchecked till it is too late. To blame anybody other than this shooter is just idiocy. Dear Mary mother of God, keep that little lamb of 9 years old in your arms. God bless.

My prayers go to the victims and their families too.
It is a given that guns will be blamed for this. Since the rally was in a supermarket parking lot, it is a good thing that nut job did not use a car bomb!

He could have used a car, for that matter. Thank God he was too hung up on himself to think of that.
Firearms owners will be in for some interesting times; I will go no further down that road.

Interesting note on this, a gun store owner in AZ that sells mostly Glocks said his sales of the model 19 have doubled and that gun sales nation wide have also gone up.
My prayers are with the victims and their families.

Mad persons will always be with us and inflict tragedy upon us. It cannot be avoided. More poor souls actions may be mitigated by better access to treatment options, if there are not enough already, but the mad actions of a tortured soul can not be entirely eradicated.
It is irrational to blame the tool. It is irrational to blame political rhetoric.
I wish comfort and healing for those left alive and for their families. And for the rest of us on this spinning ball.

Thank you for the post.
I worked for some years in the mental health field, and in a state mental hospital here in PA. I am amazed no one thought it urgent to get this young man-the shooter-into treatment.
I also hope everyone injured has medical insurance.
Again, thanks for this post.
