It is my first 1911 and Ive been reading about 1911's for about 6-months now. And I FINALLY decided on one, It was first a 2-month process to narrow it down to which brand<(not really I LOVE S&W).. Then it was about a month to settle on what size. Then It was another couple months to sell some previous hobbies(paintball) on ebay, and convince the wife to let me buy it. so here it is .. bad pics and all..

Very nice, but man, you are definitely slow on decisions! LoL

Welcome on board, now be careful. These things have the tendency to multiply quicker than rabbits. So very soon, you will find another one in your safe, then another one etc.

Very nice purchase. Good luck with it. Do let us know how it does at the range. How do you like the, (I think) High Noon holster?

Oh yeah.. I forgot about the range report.. I put 200rnds of cheap ammo..3-different brands, it ate them up like candy... Not One single problem.... This gun is a cherry.. The Trigger pull must be a clean 4.5-5.5 lbs and a nice smooth break. Trigger job not needed IMO. the fixed sights seemed to be dead on, now im not the best shot but this gun shot excactly where i aimed it. The slide has a nice tight fit, about a 32nd of play side to side, maybe not even that much. I checked for the burr that was talked about in the sticky and cant find anything. The only complaint that I have is the grips.. The gun came with the crapiest wood grips ive ever seen.. One side had a chip it it and the finish is just horrible, they look like they were a jr. high woodshop project. :scared: Im trying to contact S&W but there email addy isnt working..
yes that is a High noon holster.. I bought it for a different gun that i have.. I am going to get a galco for my swsc soon,
Anyways.. I LOVE this gun.. ITs the best out of box 1911 for 750. bucks that youre gonna get.. :dead_hors

Nice pistol, I have one just like it. There's nothing wrong with Hign Noon holsters. I have $25 Mr. Softys for almost every gun I own.

Nice piece Dirknar, I have one just like it...for all you folks out there that like 1911's (I am on the right page...right??? LOL) Triple K Leather makes an EXCELLANT military style holster for the 4.25 commander lengths..not a true 1916, but not meant to be, I ordered one 58.00 delivered or so...and I am thrilled...not for carry but I have Mother of Pearls on the SW 1911 SC, and I like to take care of 'em...it's great...if you don't intend to carry that piece Dirknar...check out that Triple K...Congrats on your piece, and like John said...careful on the multiplication...I started with one in July, got five now,,,I'm good at math...Take care!! Enjoy!!!
