I am very much liking this site. I must admit I was a bit confused between this site and another 1911 site at first, but after being on the other site for some time, I quickly realized how over zealous some of their moderators were.

I like the open and frank discussions here. I like the fact that one can offer opinion and not be censored (witihin reason).

We all have experiences and differences of opinion, thats what makes free speech so valuable.

Thank you for a wide open forum. I can only hope it stays this way. So far, no bad experiences.

~Peace~

Gee, are you sure that's a wise course of action? :D

Over zealous? Moi? Not me! LOL

Saw Gunner and Pajohnohio, we're all glad you've found us here and do enjoy the site. John runs a good board and we all strive to make this site the best 1911-related resource on the Net. So welcome aboard!

Just keep your shoes on. ;)

As an "old" handgunner and a new 1911 owner (Springer 1911 A1 - P19132L) I've found this site to be very helpful and populated by good folks to boot.

Funny. He seems to only give me a hard time. Guess it is because he doesn't want me as a future brother-in-law. ;)

Brother-in-law may not be the correct term, now that I reflect on it. I want to marry off my daughter to one of his kids. So I'm not sure what sort of familial and/or legal relation there is between fathers of the married couple.

Sounds like you just want an excuse to visit Greece once or twice a year ;)

That and he wants to arrange an impossibly difficult marriage for our daughter so that he doesn't ever actually have to deal with his little girl getting married! :D
