Does anyone know where to find conversion kits and magazines for the LAR Grizzly Win Mag? I've searched online a fair amount and cannot find any of what I am looking for. Any help would be very appreciated.

Is this pistol a 1911?

The Grizzly Win Mag pistol is a 1911 with magnum-oriented modifications. Heavier barrel, slide, and recoil spring, and the chambering and frame grip area are elongated to accomodate the longer magnum round. Many times I have seen the phrase "think of it as a 1911 on steroids".
This pistol is discontinued and has become rather rare. LAR used to offer conversion kits for 10mm, 357 mag, and 45ACP, the 44 Rem Mag conversion kit appears to be the most rare, and most useful, of all the conversion kits. I could kick myself for not ordering all these kits back when they were available from the factory. I am searching now for all of these, and more magazines in 45 Win Mag as well.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For what it's worth, I saw Grizzly & DE mags real often at local gunshows (Northern CA) until a few years ago- the mag dealers quit coming here after new laws started, and haven't come back. So, I'm guessing the mags have to be out there somewhere. Trying to find mags they don't make anymore is a pain...

I have bad news, and very bad news.
I called LAR about 2 years ago and bought many, if not all the mags they had.
You MAY still be able to get one, but call LAR and find out.
If you go to gunbroker or auctionarms and put Grizzly in the search, you will proabably find items for sale, but at very high prices.
Be prepared to spend a thousand dollars, not on a item but just have a thousand free, so a heart attack does not set in.
There is a place in Germany which also had-has some parts, but with the Euro dollar exchange rate, again many, many denaro.
I have to .45 mag. and one 50AE, at todays prices I am damn glad I bought what I did when I did.
I contacted Caspian about slides but they thought there just was not a big enough market...but it people start calling and asking.
I cannot remember who, but a company did make mags. for awhile, if you can find out who, for a price they may make more.

I contacted LAR Manufacturing, they sold me a couple of magazines. They also have parts in stock still. I am still looking for the conversion kits.

I used to have A Grizzly Mk V in .50 AE. Good gun. Handier than the Desert Eagle and IMO, more pleasant to shoot despite the extra 16 ounces of weight in the DE.
Anyway, I'm being nit-picky. There was a conversion for a wildcat that you missed. LAR offered a conversion in .357/.45 Win mag. Yes, a necked down .45 Win mag to .357
It was a screamer. :)

I'd forgotten about that. But I do remember all the different conversion kits were a strong point for this pistol....
